Obituary: Mrs. Jo Milford Clark

Jo Clark was a native of Nacogdoches, one of three daughters born to Edgar Milford and Gertrude Wedgeworth Milford. She graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1952. She moved to Dallas shortly after graduation and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She retired after 37 years of service.
Jo married Bill F. Clark of Dallas in 1954. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States and the world during their many years of marriage.
Jo and Bill retired and moved to Nacogdoches in 1989. They continued to enjoy traveling until Bill’s death in 1998.
She was a longtime active member of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church. She lovingly cared for her sister, Retha, and her aunt, Grace.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Reba Grace Milford Mooney in 1955, and Retha Kathryn Sandel in 2000; and her aunt, Grace Wedgeworth Baxter in 2003.
She is survived by her niece, Anne Sandel of Redlands, California; nephew, Ron Sandel of Nacogdoches; niece, Teresa Mooney Baker of Houston, Texas; and nephew, Charles F. Mooney Jr. of Nacogdoches.
The family will conduct a private burial. A remembrance service is pending and will be held at a later date.
Her nieces and nephews will miss her quiet, loving nature.
