Suspect arrested for murder and August 9: NPD Crime Report

This is a complete list of reports responded to by the Nacogdoches Police Department

In RE: P12-13882- Incident Report- Authorities were alerted by a broadcast from the US Marshal’s Office in reference to a suspect wanted for murder on a charge from Alice, Texas. A description was provided of the suspect and the suspect vehicle.

Approximately 40 minutes after the initial broadcast, a Nacogdoches Police officer on patrol spotted the vehicle southbound on the west loop. The officer confirmed that the vehicle was in fact the one given in the broadcast in reference to the homicide suspect. A coordinated felony traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of South Street and Loop 224 and the suspect, David Cantu, Jr. was arrested without incident. he is currently being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail.

His bonds are set at $1,000,000.00 each.
