Obituary: Frances Shaffer Passerotti

     Mrs. Frances Shaffer Passerotti, 69, of Nacogdoches, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born in Ironton, Ohio, to parents Eugene Shaffer and Jewell (Kelley) Shaffer on December 8, 1942.

     A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 7:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. John Spurgeon officiating.

     Frances is survived by her husband, John Passerotti; children, Gini Blackwell and husband Michael of Nacogdoches, Lori Coffee and husband Roger of Hurricane, WV, Susi Stone and husband George of Sevierville, TN, Michael Passerotti and wife Sharon of Maineville, OH, Kathleen Leahy of Charlotte, NC, Clint Passerotti of Nacogdoches, and Liz Passerotti of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Andrew Blackwell, Jolynn Blackwell, Tina Young, Amanda Bristow and husband Willy, Tommy Kennerly, Marieann Forgus, Emma Stone, Genelle Stone, Alicia Passerotti, Elijah Passerotti, Joshua Passerotti, Jennafer Cribbs, Jerikah Cribbs, and Monica Skipper; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, John Shaffer and wife Nancy; sister, Virginia Paul and husband Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Harriet Melroy.

     Fran was John’s best friend for over 42 years. She was known as having the biggest heart of gold and touched so many hearts. Her home was open to everyone who would enter. Fran was a magnet for people. She expressed her love by her cooking, sewing, playing games, (that she always won), and sharing her trivia knowledge. She had unshakable faith in God and often encouraged people to live for Jesus. Her life was centered around her family and her kids. Fran was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She had an unbeatable smile and when you left her company you knew she cared for you. She will be greatly missed.
