Obituary: Mark Anthony Langham

     A memorial service for Mark Anthony Langham of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 6-8 PM at Laird Funeral Home.

     Mark passed away at home on Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was born on October 29, 1955, in Athens, Texas to Dolores Whitt Langham and Clifford L. Langham.

     Mark grew up in Athens, Texas and graduated from Athens High School in 1974. He and Nancy Worsham married on November 8, 1975.
Mark started his law enforcement career in 1975 for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department and Malakoff Police Department in 1976. Moving to Nacogdoches in 1977 to work for the Nacogdoches City Police Department, where after 21 years of service he retired as a Police Lieutenant.

     He was a kind and loving man, father, husband and best friend of his wife, Nancy of 36 years. He liked wood working, photography and was an avid model railroad enthusiast and artist.

     Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Whitt and Clifford L. Langham and grandson, Joseph Alexander Langham.

     Surviving relatives include his wife, Nancy Langham; two sons, James M. Langham and wife, Misty Miller Langham and Jeffrey L. Langham; granddaughter, Eva Serene Langham; brother, Paul E. Langham all of Nacogdoches; brother, Gregory Langham; nephew, Grant langham and niece Sarah Langham all of Denver, Colorado.

     Mark donated his body to research in hopes of helping find a cure.

     In lieu of flowers the family would like to request that donations be made to research or a charity of your choice.
