Obituary: Wayne Edward Murray

     Mr. Wayne Edward Murray, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012, in Nacogdoches.

     Mr. Murray was born May 2, 1933, in Illinois to Elmer Doray Murray and Merle Snyder Murray. He had lived in the Nacogdoches area several years. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a poultry farmer and businessman.

     Wayne was loving, caring, and generous to all. He had the gift of seeing the positive side in any situation and brought joy to everyone.

     Survivors: his wife, Sue Murray of Nacogdoches; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Lisa Murray of Arthur, Illinois, Steve Murray of Arcola, Illinois, Michael and Michelle Murray of San Angelo, Texas, and Randy and Paula Murray of Arthur, Illinois; daughter and son-in-law, Londa and John Grierson of Frisco, Texas; step-daughters, Beverly Murphy, Mary Hart, Peggy Sterkle, and Holly Shirley and their families; grandchildren, Candatha Burke, Kris Murray, Keith Murray, Blake Murray, Shawn Murray, Victoria Murray, Melissa Reedy, Ashley Stinson, Quin Murray, David Grierson, Benjamin Grierson, Matthew Grierson, and Elizabeth Grierson; and five great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Arthur Murray.

     Memorial services are set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at New Hope Congregational Methodist Church, 5301 East Main St. in Nacogdoches, with Pastor Brian Tyre officiating.
