Obituary: Gregory Mack Luman

     Funeral service for Mr. Gregory Mack Luman, 49, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. at Laird Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery near Center, Texas.

     Mr. Luman was born on February 8, 1962, in Center, Texas to Doyle and Billie Frances Porter Luman. He passed away on December 15, 2011, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

     Greg graduated from Center High School in 1980 and had attended Tyler and Panola Junior College. Greg was a huge sports fan. He loved the Texas Longhorns and had a love-hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. He liked attending live events, having traveled many miles to games all over the state. Greg had worked as a pre-arranged funeral salesmen since 1996 and had owned his own used car business during this time period.

     He loved playing golf, working in the yard and gardening. He played baseball in school and had liked to fish. Greg was a wonderful man. He was always thoughtful of others and was always kind. He kept in touch with everyone, imparting his wisdom and sharing funny stories through email and in person. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend and so many people will miss his smiling face.

     Greg is survived by his parents, Doyle and Billie Luman and one sister, Selina Luman all of Nacogdoches; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family and great friends.

     Pallbearers will be Chris Gates, Mike McCoy, Roy Blackshear, Greg Hoppe, Jeff Warr and Glen Cordray.

     Honorary pallbearers will be Suzanne Gates, Lisa Boles McAdams, Lisa Hughes and Gregory Hoppe.

     Visitation will be on Sunday, December 18, 2011, from 3-6 pm at Laird Funeral Home.
