NPD MAKES ARRESTS IN DRUG INVESTIGATION

     A six-month undercover drug investigation by the Nacogdoches Police Department has resulted in charges being filed against ten defendants.

     NPD began the arrests Wednesday morning. The investigation targeted street-level narcotics trafficking within the city. As of the time of this release, seven (7) of the defendants had been arrested with three (3) remaining at-large.


The arrested suspects are:

Jerry D. Holcomb, age 44, of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a Controlled Substance

Bryant D. Gilyard, age 43 of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

Rodney Woodson, age 33 of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a Controlled Substance

Jerome R. Murchinson, age 23 of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

Jeffrey R. Gates, age 36 of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a controlled Substance (2 counts)

Anthony D. Garner, Jr., age 21 of Nacogdoches,
Delivery of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)


     Three suspects remain at large. All are wanted on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

     NEVER ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND A WANTED FUGITIVE YOURSELF. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the following persons should call Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers at 560-INFO or submit a tip on the web at www.ncstips.com.


The following persons were still at large as of 11:00 a.m. CDT April 14, 2011:

Mongo J. Fite, age 36 of Nacogdoches

Trevosky Freeney, age 20 of Nacogdoches

Kiara K. Raindle, age 21 of Nacogdoches


     All wanted suspects should not be approached. They should be considered dangerous. Call Law Enforcement immediately.

     The investigation was conducted by the Street Crimes Unit of the Nacogdoches Police Department.

    It’s only racial profiling if the arrested individuals are black. If the arrested individuals were Hispanic or white nobody would say a thing. Example: All the Hispanics arrested last week and nobody said a thing.

      Or maybe last week the hispanics were all gang related i.e. 1 criminal enterprise. Last weeks arrest was also a federal investigation this weeks were controlled buys by nac pd. It seems that since nac pd selects the targets to buy from they only selected 1 group…that could be seen as racist.

        I’m with you rednecks! How do you expect these guys to make an honest living in this economy. I mean, it’s not like they’re giving jobs away in Nac to people from another country. I bet none of those guys arrested even know anything about gangs.
