William “Bill” Brown, 87, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at a local hospital.
Mr. Brown was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Healdton, Oklahoma, to William Henry Brown and Beulah Mayo Brown. He retired from Tenneco Oil Company as an accounting manager and was a member of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches.
Survivors: his wife, Billie Ruth Brown of Nacogdoches; children, Dr. Steve Brown and wife Pam of Lubbock, Texas, Kerry Brown and Carol Fisher of Houston, Texas, and Pam Want and husband Larry of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Sara White, Allison Brown, Emily Brown, Graham Brown, and Brent Watson; great-grandchildren, Paige Brown, Ryleigh Kate Brown, Colton White, and Dylan Watson; and a nephew, Jim Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Beulah Brown; and his sister, Elma Andrews.
Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Park, 5127 North Street, Nacogdoches. Officiating will be Dr. Allen Reed.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf, located at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Coats, Roger Driggers, and Stan Corbett.
