Funeral services for Charles Alvin Rambin, Sr., 70, of Cedar Bluff will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel in Nacogdoches, Texas, with Pastor Jean Ferraro officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Appleby.
Mr. Rambin died Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Nacogdoches. He was born June 7, 1940 in Cedar Bluff, Texas to parents Roy and Altie Rambin.
Charles lived all of his life in Cedar Bluff and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garrison. He graduated from Garrison High School in 1959. Charles was employed at Bradshaw State Prison in Henderson, Texas.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Margaret Brandon Rambin of Garrison, Texas; children, Rhonda Hodge and husband, Dan, of Center, Texas; Brandon D. Rambin and wife, Jennifer, of Cedar Bluff, Texas; and Charles A. Rambin, Jr. and wife, Brandy, of Garrison, Texas; grandchildren, John Davis, Madison Davis, Adam Rambin, Alex Rambin, Brylee Rambin, Becca Rambin, and soon to arrive Sophia Anne Rambin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rufus Rambin; and granddaughter Samantha Rambin.
Pallbearers will be Floyd O. Rambin, Brad Langford, Micheal Pollard, Micheal Feaster, Seth Mills, and Albert Collins.
