Sheriff Meeting With ICE Director John Morton

Sheriff Thomas Kerss was among a small group of Sheriffs in the United States that received an invitation to attend a roundtable discussion with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton on June 21st, during the National Sheriffs’ Conference in St. Louis, Mo. Approximately two dozen “key sheriffs” from across the country were extended this invitation. The meeting will allow for roundtable discussions between the director and those sheriffs in order to “engage in issues of importance to you and your constituents” regarding Illegal Immigration and Border Security issues.

Sheriff Kerss was honored to receive the invitation and grateful to have the opportunity to represent the citizens of Nacogdoches County and Texas in discussing these important matters.
