NACOGDOCHES POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING SHOOTING

(AUGUST 21, 2023): Around 9:33 p.m. this evening officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 3100 block of Sante Fe Place. Immediately upon arrival officers determined there was one individual that had sustained a gunshot wound and was being transported by private vehicle to a local hospital with a non life threatening wound. The victim is a 16 year old juvenile so no further information about them will be released. The Criminal Investigation Unit is currently on scene.
