NACOGDOCHES POLICE INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE

(May 6, 2023): The Nacogdoches Police Department is currently on the scene of a homicide in the 700 block of Rock Oak St. At around 4:16 p.m. on May 6, 2023 officers responded to a reports of a possible home invasion and one person shot. Officers arrived to find an adult male that had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The Criminal Investigation Division is currently on scene. Investigators are speaking with the adult male that shot the other male. The adult female resident is not believed to have suffered any injuries. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. Please avoid the area. As further information becomes available it will be released.
