NACOGDOCHES POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING SHOOTING

(September 27, 2022): Around 9:30 p.m. on September 26, 2022 officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to the 100 block of Community Grocery Rd. after receiving calls about gunshots in the area. Our officers located an adult male victim in a parked vehicle that had sustained multiple life threatening gunshot wounds. Our officers immediately began securing the scene while providing life saving measures. The victim was transported by EMS to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and was later flown to another hospital due to the serious nature of his injuries. The victim’s name is being held at this time. The Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene. At this time no arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation. As further information becomes available it will be released.
