NACOGDOCHES POLICE INVESTIGATING FATALITY AUTO PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT

(March 20,2022): The Nacogdoches Police Department responded to an auto pedestrian accident around 1:43 a.m. on March 20, 2022 in the 2800 block of Woden Rd. Officers arrived to the scene and found that a white Chevy truck had struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The victim has been identified to be Katina Menefee 49 years of age from Nacogdoches, Tx. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Justice of the Peace. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured. The traffic division responded to the scene to conduct an accident reconstruction of the crash. Preliminary information is the victim was walking northbound in the northbound lane when the truck that was also traveling northbound struck her. As further information becomes available it will be released.
