(June 8th, 2020). Around 11:30 A.M. on June 6th, 2020 officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at the protest that was occurring in the 100 block of W. Main St. When Officers arrived there was no longer a disturbance. The disturbance was between the occupants of a passing vehicle and a few of the participants of the protest. Officers began taking witness statements and gathering evidence to determine what had occurred. The occupants of the vehicle also reported the incident at the police station. All videos, pictures and witness statements are being reviewed by investigators. The incident is actively being investigated by Nacogdoches Police Department Detectives in conjunction with the Nacogdoches County Attorney’s Office. As further information becomes available it will be released to the public.
