Funeral services for Kenneth L. Isbell, Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 1, at his residence, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, Feb. 4, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 3, at Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Isbell was born Nov. 22, 1935 in Bay, Arkansas the son of Timothy James Isbell and Hazel Lee Holt Isbell. He moved with his family to Natchez in 1965 and continued a long family tradition of farming, ginning cotton and operating the Anna Gin and Planting Company. A well respected businessman, he pursued numerous activities including a passion for flying his own plane and traveling near and far. Kenneth and Jean indulged in a love of travel. An excellent photographer he took amazing pictures in his travels. His favorites were those of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed and mourned by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Harry Isbell and extended family in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Jean W. Isbell , children; Kenneth L. Isbell, Jr. and wife Laurie , Rhonda Isbell Smith and husband Thomas, Keith Isbell and wife Pam, all of Natchez, Ashley Isbell White and husband Mark of Mobile, AL., and Cynthia Seale Hartman and husband Ed of Annapolis MD., grandchildren; Trey Isbell, Matt Isbell, Dustin Lanehart, Chelsea Smith, Alan Isbell, Cori Isbell Bolinger, Timothy Isbell, Sabra Isbell, Emily Isbell, Andres Isbell, Brandon White, Isabelle White, Edward Hartman IV, Christian Hartman and six great grandchildren, one niece, Mary Jane Covington, two nephews, Jimmy Isbell and Mike Isbell and other family members including Rosa Mae Isaac and Monroe Elery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Isbell, Matt Isbell, Alan Isbell, Timothy Isbell, Dustin Lanehart, Edward Hartman IV, Christian Hartman, and Joshua Bolinger Honorary pallbearers will be Cledis Abernathy, Samuel Blackman, Chester Hoover, Doc McCollum and Manuel Badillo
