Rose Mary Krhovjak slipped away from her earthly body into her Heavenly reward on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Willowbrook Nursing Home in Nacogdoches, where she had resided for some time. Born June 17, 1931, Ms. Rosie was 86 years old.
Rosie loved to laugh and tell jokes. She was a joy to be around and she tried to make everyone else happy. She had owned “Ms. Pizza” in Friendswood. Her pizzas were so good that a large pizza chain came to her and made a generous offer she couldn’t refuse. She also worked as a manager for Houston Independent School District, supervising an elementary school cafeteria daily feeding about 300 children.
Rosie was the daughter of Jerry and Louise Krhovjak, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willie and Ladik Krhovjak, and her sisters, Judy and Vlasta. Her survivors include nieces and nephews, Bennett and Marie Krhovjak of Schulenberg, Annette and Curtis Felfe of Austin, Marleen and Gene Suszanski of Magnolia, Donald Krhovjak of Austin, Sandra and John Janda of LaGrange, Patsy and Ted Jablonksi of Rosharon, Judy and Rick Hackstedt, Milton and Catha Zapalac, and Renae and Daniel Sebesta, all of Needville, and Debbie and Kenneth Silva of Beasley; and a friend of many years, Era Lois Oneal of Nacogdoches.
