SFA Regent Blair speaks on economic development at Chamber meeting
Stephen F. Austin State University Regent Nelda Luce Blair will be the keynote speaker at the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Fourth Friday Luncheon presented by Nacogdoches I.S.D.
Blair’s presentation “A Glass Half Full” will focus on economic development. “While Texas continues to out-perform the nation economically, the Lone Star State has not been completely without its own difficulties,” Blair said. “Yet, Texans are hardy, self-sufficient, and resourceful. As we move forward into a new age of national leadership, our eyes must be on the positive future, the unique opportunities, and the glass that is half full instead of half empty.”
The event is noon to 1 p.m., Feb. 24 at Austin Hall, 4603 North St. Gold sponsors are Nacogdoches Economic Development Corp. and SERVPRO® of Lufkin/S. Nacogdoches County.
A proud fifth-generation Texan, Blair is CEO of The Blair Law Firm. She manages a private real estate investment business Blair Investments Global, and oversees operation of the Conroe ISD Education Foundation. As an elected official, Blair led the formation of a new government for The Woodlands and was Founding Chair of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.
