City Offices to Observe New Years Day
On January 13th and January 20th, 2017 from 9 am-3 pm the Nacogdoches Municipal court is reaching out out to the local community for “Resolution Day.”
On this day citizens with city traffic warrants will be able to come to court, during designated hours, and not be detained or arrested. This will allow those with warrants to avoid warrant round up. During these hours, the judge will re-consider any warrant(s) and revisit each financial situation and Nacogdoches citizens maybe approved for a second chance opportunity to dispose of fines and fees.
The court also will offer an “Open Court Day” beginning at 9 am each Wednesday of 2017, excluding holidays. On this day citizens do not have to be scheduled to come to court, but may come in and speak to the judge about any changes in their situations or any arising issues regarding citations and/or citation agreements. Citizens will not be arrested or detained during “Open Court Day.”
The court would like to help the community understand the full process of successfully handling your traffic citation. The court offers a slide show that displays court procedures and options to dispose of your citation when you visit open court on Wednesday mornings. More improvements information distribution are also planned for 2017.
