STEAM Lab: Halloween STEAM
The Judy B. McDonald Public Library invites children, ages 7-11 years, to participate in a STEAM Lab on Thursday, October 27th at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a night of spooky STEAM fun. We will enjoy Halloween snacks, play with dry ice, and have a thrilling time participating in spooky projects. Expect some slime, lots of fog and maybe even a pumpkin volcano! Please call the library at (936) 559-2970 to register by Wednesday, October 26th. Spaces are limited.

Makerspace: Paper Circuits at the Public Library
The Judy B. McDonald Public Library invites ages 10 and up to a Makerspace workshop on Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. Make the mundane into the marvelous by lighting up your paper projects with LEDs and electronic circuits. Our makers will learn the basics of circuitry and apply them to their own unique creations. Novice and experienced makers alike are welcome. Please call 559-2970 to register.
The Judy B. McDonald Public Library is thrilled to continue and expand the Makerspace program for tweens and teens. Makers are a collaborative community of all ages who share a passion for making things and who are engaged in experimentation, innovation and creativity. The Public Library’s Makerspace merges DIY, craft, art, electronics, programming, math, science and engineering into projects for both young people and their mentors. The goal is to support and grow the Maker movement in the local community through experimental play and hands-on creativity. Look for the new space in the library!

Bad Art Night at the Public Library
The Judy B. McDonald Public Library invites adults of all ages to Bad Art Night on Friday, November 4th at 5:30 p.m. We’re bringing it back! Create something truly appalling…and win! Prizes will be awarded for the most heinous art. Why let kids have all the fun? Let them hang out next door and have some art making time for yourself.
Registration for this program is requested to ensure that there are supplies for all participants. Please call 559-2970 to sign up.
