PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 12.02.10 to 0600 12.03.2010
ROBBERY; 3300 BLOCK OF CENTER HIGHWAY. AT AROUND 9:30 PM LAST NIGHT, A BLACK MALE SUSPECT ENTERED A STORE AT CENTER HIGHWAY AND THE LOOP AND DISPLAYED AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE, BELIEVED TO BE A STUN GUN. THE SUSPECT DEMANDED THE CASH, AND ESCAPED WITH AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF CASH. THE SUSPECT FLED IN A VEHICLE. SEVERAL HOURS LATER, A NACOGDOCHES POLICE OFFICER ON ROUTINE PATROL OBSERVED A VEHICLE MATCHING THE DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE USED IN THE ROBBERY. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD AND SHAWNEE STREETS. A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE MATCHED THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ROBBERY SUSPECT. THIS SUSPECT, JAMARCUS FLOWERS, AGE 29, OF GREENVILLE, TEXAS HAD FELONY WARRANTS FROM HUNT COUNTY FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR (BOND JUMPING). HE WAS ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO THE NACOGDOCHES COUNTY JAIL. THIS MORNING, FLOWERS WAS FORMALLY CHARGED WITH ROBBERY IN CONNECTION WITH THE CENTER HIGHWAY ROBBERY. HE REMAINS IN THE NACOGDOCHES COUNTY JAIL.
HIT AND RUN; 1600 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A VAN WAS OBSERVED LEAVING A PARKING LOT, STRIKING A PARKED VEHICLE. THE DRIVER OF THE VAN DID NOT STOP.
BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 1500 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. FOUR VEHICLES WERE FORCIBLY ENTERED. SEVERAL ITEMS, INCLUDING PURSES, RADAR DETECTORS, SUNGLASSES AND A SET OF GOLF CLUBS WERE TAKEN.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS-EVADING ARREST; 300 BLOCK OF FIRST STREET. A SUSPECT THAT HAD BEEN GIVEN A PRIOR CRIMINAL TRESPASS WARNING CAME TO A RESIDENCE. HE FLED WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED AND WAS CAPTURED A SHORT TIME LATER AND ARRESTED.
DWI; 1700 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A WITNESS REPORTED A DRUNK DRIVER RUNNING OFF THE ROADWAY. OFFICERS LOCATED AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER WAS CONTACTED. THE DRIVER WAS SUSPECTED OF BEING INTOXICATED AND WAS ARRESTED.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 1300 BLOCK OF LOONEYVILLE. AN UNSECURED RESIDENCE WAS ENTERED AND PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION TAKEN.
BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 200 BLOCK OF EAST LAKEWOOD. A CD PLAYER WAS REMOVED FROM A PARKED TRUCK.
THEFT; 2100 BLOCK OF CENTER HIGHWAY. A CASH DEPOSIT WAS REPORTED MISSING FROM A BUSINESS.
INTERFERENCE WITH EMERGENCY CALL; 4500 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. COMPLAINANT WAS ATTEMPTING TO CALL THE POLICE DURING A DISTURBANCE. THE SUSPECT REMOVED THE CELL PHONE FROM THE COMPLAINANT’S HANDS. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED.
