Albinas Keistutis Jurkonis

     Mr. Albinas Keistutis Jurkonis, age 88, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Westward Trails in Nacogdoches.

     Mr. Jurkonis was born July 21, 1922, in Springfield, Illinois, to Paulus Jurkonis and Kaze Mikelonis Jurkonis. He was a retired industrial engineer and U.S. Navy veteran, serving as an aviator during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

     Survivors: his daughter, Aldonna Kroeker and husband Dennis of Nacogdoches, Texas; son, Paul Jurkonis and wife Lisa of LaVergne, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shauna Reiley of Bedford, Texas, Paul Jurkonis II of Needville, Texas, and Caleb Jurkonis of Lavergne, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Reiley and Matthew Reiley, both of Bedford, Texas.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Jurkonis; brother, Vit Jarkonis; and sister, Aldona Jarkonis.

     Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2306 Appleby Sand Road, Nacogdoches, with Pastor Robert Kobler officiating.
