Nacogdoches Police Officers have made an arrest in the felony hit and run accident that occurred in the 3300 block of NE Stallings late Saturday night.
At approximately 10:13 pm Saturday night, NPD dispatch received a call about a teenage pedestrian accident victim lying in the roadway on NE Stallings Dr across from Nacogdoches High School. The teenage pedestrian victim was going to the Nacogdoches Homecoming dance at the high school at the time of the accident.
Early Thursday morning NPD Traffic investigators arrested Christian Michael Gill, 20, of Nacogdoches for Felony Hit and Run (3rd degree felony). Gill was arrested at the Nacogdoches Police Department and transported to the Nacogdoches County LEC.
Late Monday Gill came to NPD with his vehicle and informed investigators that he was involved in the accident that officers were seeking information about since late Saturday night. Officers collected evidence from the vehicle that is consistent with the evidence investigators were searching for. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Gill on Wednesday.
NPD is still asking to speak with anyone who was in the area of the accident who might have any additional information that could assist the investigation. They can call the NPD Traffic Division at 559-2639.
