The Stephen F. Austin State University Panola County Alumni Chapter will host a Send-off Party and Alumni Reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, 310 W. Panola, in Carthage.
The event will celebrate new freshmen or transfer students leaving Panola County for SFA. A $1,500 cash prize will be raffled off, and a $100 Jack Backers College Bookstore textbook scholarship will be given away. Raffle tickets are available for purchase by contacting Cody Cockerham ’01 at (903) 746-7140 or (903) 693-6606. Proceeds benefit the SFA Panola County Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund.
Transfer students, incoming freshman and/or current SFA students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
