November 5 Crime Log: That was the last straw…

PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 11.4.10 to 0600 11.5.2010

     ASSAULT; 1300 BLOCK OF DOUGLASS ROAD. AN OLDER SIBLING HAD BEEN TAUNTING THE SUSPECT ALL DAY. THE SUSPECT HIT THE OLDER SIBLING WITH A SHOVEL. THE JUVENILE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AND RELEASED TO PARENT.

     DEBIT CARD ABUSE; 1600 BLOCK OF CARDINAL. COMPLAINANT REPORTED UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES MADE TO HIS DEBIT CARD OUT OF STATE.

     HARASSMENT; 1000 BLOCK OF COTTONWOOD. A KNOWN SUSPECT CONTINUES TO CALL AND TEXT THE COMPLAINANT AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TO DO SO.

     ASSAULT; 600 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. A KNOWN FEMALE SUSPECT APPROACHED THE COMPLAINANT AND ASSAULTED THE COMPLAINANT BY GRABBING HER BY THE HAIR. WARRANT REQUESTED.

     HIT AND RUN; 1500 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. COMPLAINANT’S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY A NISSAN ALTAMA. THE COMPLAINANT WITNESSED THIS AND ATTEMPTED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE DRIVER WHO LEFT THE SCENE.

     ASSAULT-RESISTING ARREST-RETALIATION; 100 BLOCK OF MITCHELL STREET. A FEMALE COMPLAINANT REPORTED BEING ASSAULTED BY A MALE SUSPECT. THE SUSPECT WAS LOCATED. WHEN OFFICERS ATTEMPTED TO ARREST HIM, HE RESISTED OFFICERS AND THREATENED THEM.

     FAILURE TO IDENTIFY; PUBLIC INTOXICATION-OUT OF COUNTY WARRANTS; 1600 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A FIGHT IN PROGRESS. ONE SUSPECT WAS INTOXICATED AND CREATING A DISTURBANCE. THE SUSPECT, VICTOR VASQUEZ WAS ARRESTED AND FOUND TO HAVE TWO OUTSTANDING WARRANTS FROM FREESTONE COUNTY FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD.

     THEFT; 4900 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. TWO SUSPECTS WERE OBSERVED TAKING ITEMS FROM A STORE WITHOUT PAYING. THE SUSPECTS WERE LOCATED AND ARRESTED. THE STOLEN PROPERTY WAS RECOVERED.

     DWLI; 800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. OFFICER STOPPED A VEHICLE ON TRAFFIC AND FOUND THE DRIVER TO HAVE A SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE WITH A PREVIOUS CONVICTION. THE DRIVER WAS ARRESTED.

     AGGRAVATED ASSAULT; EAST MAIN AT LOOP 224. THE SUSPECT, USING A VEHICLE, CHASED THE VICTIM, WHO WAS ALSO IN A VEHICLE. THE SUSPECT VEHICLE RAMMED THE COMPLAINANT’S VEHICLE, CAUSING IT TO GO INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO CONTACT THE SUSPECT AND ARREST HIM. MARKETHON KING WAS ARRESTED.
