PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 10.27.10 to 0600 10.28.2010

     THEFT; 4900 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT ENTERED A STORE AND STOLE A PAIR OF SHOES.

     BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 2300 BLOCK OF PEARL STREET. $100.00 WAS TAKEN FROM A PARKED VEHICLE AFTER UNKNOWN PERSONS FORCED ENTRY INSIDE.

     BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 3100 BLOCK OF SANTA FE PLACE. A KNOWN FEMALE SUSPECT ENTERED COMPLAINANT’S RESIDENCE WITHOUT PERMISSION, WENT TO THE KITCHEN AND RETRIEVED A KITCHEN KNIFE. THE FEMALE THEN CAME AT THE COMPLAINANT, WHO GRABBED THE KNIFE. THE COMPLAINANT SUSTAINED A CUT HAND WHEN HE GRABBED THE KNIFE. THE COMPLAINANT THEN FLED THE RESIDENCE. THE SUSPECT WAS GONE ON POLICE ARRIVAL. WARRANT REQUESTED.

     HARASSMENT; 2400 BLOCK OF PETTIT. COMPLAINANT ADVISED THAT A KNOWN SUSPECT CALLED HIM AND THREATENED HIM.

     POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; 500 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. A VEHICLE WAS STOPPED FOR TRAFFIC. A SMALL AMOUNT OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA WAS FOUND ON THE SEAT. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED.

     ROBBERY; 200 BLOCK OF STONE STREET. THREE BLACK MALE SUSPECTS WEARING DARK CLOTHING AND FACE MASKS ATTACKED A MAN AND TOOK HIS WALLET. THEY THEN FLED IN A VEHICLE.

     AGGRAVATED ASSAULT; 800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. WHILE EMPLOYEES WERE REMODELING THE RENT-A-CENTER, THEY DISCOVERED A HISPANIC MALE EXITING THE RESTROOM AT 400 AM. HE TRIED TO GET OUT BUT ALL OF THE DOORS WERE LOCKED. AN EMPLOYEE APPROACHED THE SUSPECT WHO PRODUCED A KNIFE AND BEGAN WAVING IT AROUND. THE SUSPECT THEN EXITED THE EMERGENCY EXIT. OFFICER PURSUED THE SUSPECT ON FOOT, BUT DID NOT APPREHEND HIM.
