INFORMATION FROM 0600 10.24.10 to 0600 10.25.2010
THEFT; 3400 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. A KNOWN SUSPECT CHECKED OUT OF A HOTEL ROOM AND STOLE BEDDING FROM THE ROOM.
BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 4700 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. A VEHICLE WAS FORCIBLY ENTERED AND SEVERAL CDS WERE TAKEN.
BURGLARY OF A BUILDING; 1700 BLOCK OF MLK. A CHURCH WAS FORCIBLY ENTERED AND A VENDING MACHINE WAS VANDALIZED.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 3200 BLOCK OF EVERWOOD. UNKNOWN PERSONS ENTERED A RESIDENCE AND REMOVED A PLAYSTATION II AND TWO WII CONTROLLERS.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 1200 BLOCK OF RITCHIE STREET. A DELL COMPUTER WAS REPORTED MISSING FROM A RESIDENCE. IT WAS TAKEN BY UNKNOWN SUSPECTS.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; 4000 BLOCK OF EAST STARR AVENUE. OFFICER MADE CONTACT WITH A SUSPECT ON A TRAFFIC STOP. OFFICERS SMELLED THE ODOR OF BURNING MARIJUANA FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. OFFICERS LOCATED SUSPECTED MARIJUANA IN THE VEHICLE AND THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED.
FAILURE TO IDENTIFY; 400 BLOCK OF SADLER STREET. OFFICERS CONTACTED A SUSPECT ON A DISTURBANCE. THE SUSPECT GAVE OFFICERS A FALSE NAME. WHEN THE TRUE IDENTITY WAS ESTABLISHED, THE SUSPECT WAS FOUND TO HAVE SEVERAL MUNICIPAL WARRANTS.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS; 3200 BLOCK OF PEARL. COMPLAINAN T REPORTED THAT A JUVENILE THAT HAD BEEN GIVEN A PREVIOUS CRIMINAL TRESPASS WARNING HAD BEEN SEEN ON THE PROPERTY.
THEFT; 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED LEAVING A PURSE IN A SHOPPING CART WHILE SHE LOADED GROCERIES. WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE NOTICED THAT THE PURSE WAS MISSING.
HIT AND RUN; 100 BLOCK OF RUSK STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT AN UNKONWN VEHICLE STRUCK THEIR VEHICLE AND DID NOT LEAVE INFORMATION.
