The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce requests nominations for the 2013 Citizen of the Year and the Gary Justice Business Excellence Awards – small, medium and large businesses of the year – be submitted by July 15.
“Chamber members will receive the nomination forms in the chamber’s July mail packet. The forms are also available at the chamber of commerce and online at nacogdoches.org,” said Jessica Henderson, Vice Chair Special Projects and Fundraisers. “Anyone may make a nomination, and the awardees will be honored in September at the 92nd Annual Meeting and Membership Banquet.”Nominations will be considered for NacogdochesCounty businesses that deserve recognition based on economic impact, community involvement and leadership. Nominate a person for Citizen of the Year who deserves recognition based on personal achievements and for leadership and community involvement. A list of past award recipients is noted on the form.
“These are the highest awards the chamber extends,” Henderson said. “Our board of directors recognizes those that have improved our community and encourages others to strive for excellence.”
