An Email just won’t do

PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2010

INFORMATION FROM 0600 10.10.10 to 0600 10.11.2010

     HARASSMENT; 200 BLOCK OF EAST SPRADLEY. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT A KNOWN SUSPECT HAD SENT THE COMPLAINANT A VULGAR AND ABUSIVE LETTER THROUGH THE MAIL.

     AGGRAVATED ASSAULT; 1700 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A DISTURBANCE THAT INVOLVED WEAPONS IN THE 1700 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. WHILE OFFICERS WERE ENROUTE, A GUN WAS DISCHARGED. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND FOUND THAT BAKASHI WHITE, AGE  22 WAS IN THE YARD OF THE RESIDENCE. HE HAD BEEN HIT IN THE ANKLE WITH SEVERAL SHOTGUN PELLETS. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT HE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ARGUMENT CONCERNING AN EARLIER DISTURBANCE WITH GREGORY DONNELL PORTER (AGE 29). WITNESSES STATED THAT PORTER WENT TO THE TRUNK OF HIS VEHICLE AND RETRIEVED A SHORT SHOTGUN AND DISCHARGED IT TOWARD THE GROUND IN THE DIRECTION OF THE VICTIM. THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL WITH NON LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. GREGORY PORTER WAS LOCATED BY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES ON HENDERSON LANE IN THE COUNTY. PORTER WAS ARRESTED AND A .410 SHOTGUN WITH A PISTOL GRIP WAS RECOVERED.

     HIT AND RUN; 1700 BLOCK OF DOUGLASS HIGHWAY. UNKNOWN VEHICLE STRUCK SEVERAL MAILBOXES AND A BUSINESS SIGN AND LEFT THE SCENE WITHOUT PROVIDING INFORMATION.

     CRIMINAL MISCHIEF; 1000 BLOCK OF JACK LOCK. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAD KICKED IN THE DOOR OF AN APARTMENT, CAUSING DAMAGE.

     POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA-EVADING ARREST-FAILURE TO ID; 300 BLOCK OF ELLINGTON. OFFICER STOPPED A VEHICLE FOR A TRAFFIC VIOLATION. AFTER IDENTIFYING THE OCCUPANTS, THE SUSPECT FLED ON FOOT. OFFICER GAVE CHASE AND CAPTURED THE SUSPECT. OFFICER FOUND THE SUSPECT TO BE IN POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA. HE ALSO PROVIDED OFFICERS WITH A FALSE NAME.
