Three people were arrested Sunday evening in connection to several burglaries in Nacogdoches County. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that Deputies received a call of a burglary in progress on Fm 225. Before Deputies arrived on scene the actors had left in an unknown direction in a black car. While Deputies were investigating the burglary on Fm 225 they received another call a few minutes later of another burglary in progress on Cr. 717.
While responding to that call, Deputies were advised that the actors had left in a black car heading toward Nacogdoches, Texas. An attempt to locate was placed on the vehicle to all local law enforcement agencies. The vehicle was later observed, parked at an apartment complex inside the city limits by Nacogdoches Police Officers. Sheriff Investigators arrived on scene a short time later. Through further investigation, Investigators with the Sheriff Office were able to identify the suspects in the case and recover stolen property from the two residences on Fm 225 and Cr. 717. Investigators also recovered stolen property from another residence inside the city of Nacogdoches. That investigation has been turned over the Nacogdoches Police Dept.
Sheriff Bridges stated that the suspects also used a weapon during the commission of the burglary on Cr. 717. The home owner returned to his residence as the actors were seen leaving. A weapon was used by the suspects to shoot into the ground and was then pointed at the home owner while they suspects were leaving. Sheriff Bridges stated that the weapon has been recovered and found on the suspects during the arrest.
Jarrod Henson, 17 years of age, Roderick Pollock 18 years of age, and Loretha Thompson 20 years of age were arrested for two counts of burglary of a habitation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon all charges are a 2nd felony. Jarrod Henson was also charged with Hindering Proceedings by Disorderly Conduct after disrupting court proceedings for his arraignment.
Sheriff Bridges stated that the Sheriff Office is investigating two more burglaries that occurred Sunday evening in the county that they believe are related to the suspects in this case. Sheriff Bridges stated that more charges may be filed after the investigation is completed.
