Obituary: Margaret L Henry

Mrs. Margaret L Henry, 86, passed away on April 1, 2013 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on June 15, 1926 to parents Cecil Bryan Ramsey and Batha Mae Leggett Ramsey in Haslam, Texas.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles S. Henry; and brothers, James A. Ramsey, Robert L Ramsey and C.L. Ramsey.
She is survived by her son, Gary Henry and wife Connie, daughters, Debbie Oltmann and husband Steve, Tanni Kirkland and husband Rickey; step-daughter, Charlotte Hartt and husband Wayne; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was raised in Nacogdoches and was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and then graduated from Massey Business College. She worked at Commercial National Bank until she married Charles. They moved to Gladewater, Texas where they opened the first Dairy Queen. Margaret worked there for 11 years. Together they moved back to Nacogdoches and opened another “D.Q”! She also worked part time for Bennett Clark Clay Products for 7 years. Margaret was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. Most people in Nacogdoches will remember meeting her at Schmidt’s where she worked 23 years. She loved helping others find the right make-up and cosmetics to look more beautiful. Margaret had a personality that people loved to be around and made friends so easily. She will be greatly missed.
Family will receive guests at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors from
6pm -8 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, officiated by Bro. Paul Sevar of Calvary Baptist Church.
