The purpose of Fish Camp is to welcome the 9th grade class to NHS by giving them an opportunity to have fun while learning about high school. Students take part in a variety of activities, including campus tours, a pep rally and various discussion groups. Students receive their class schedules and have the opportunity to meet their teachers.
Participating freshmen each receive a free Fish Camp t-shirt and have the opportunity to win door prizes donated by area businesses.
Registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. in the 9th grade building at Nacogdoches High School. Activities begin promptly at 9 a.m. Breakfast and lunch is provided.
Fish Camp is free to all incoming NHS 9th grade students. Transportation is available by request by calling 552-8780. For additional information or questions, please call 564-2466.
