The Nacogdoches Police Department has arrested a man and charged him with Injury to a Child in reference to an incident reported on 3/22/2012.
Jerome Mansfield Tyler, age 23 of Nacogdoches was arrested Monday morning on a felony warrant. He is charged with causing injury to a one year old girl that was in his care on 3/22/2012. Tyler is reported as the boyfriend of the child’s mother.
Authorities were first called to a report of an unresponsive child at an apartment in the 100 block of Old Line Drive. The child was found to have an injury to the head and was transferred to a Houston Hospital for treatment. The NPD and Child Protective Services were notified and opened an investigation. Tyler was arrested by police at his residence.
