DEMOCRAT LUNCHEON SET FOR THURSDAY
The monthly luncheon of Democrats is set for this Thursday, February 16 at noon at Szechuan restaurant. The Szechuan’s has reserved the room behind the lobby for the luncheon. Doris Daniel would like to have a phone call (564-3264) or an email (johndorisdaniel@suddenlink.net) for those of us who plan to attend.
Over 20 Democrats have been at each of the last couple of luncheons, so we are expecting a good crowd. Come and share some fellowship and catch up with local happenings. See you there.
DEPUTY VOTER REGISTRAR REQUIREMENTS
Elections administrator Debra Gaston has informed us that the authority of deputy registrars has expired. She is willing to set up a time for all interested Democrats to be retrained as authorized deputy registrars. She has trained a group of students at SFA, but those are the only ones who have been reauthorized. If you are interested in being retrained, please notify Democrat Chair Roy Boldon at brboldon@att.net or call him at 564-5615. We’ll try to coordinate a time convenient for everyone.
