Enrollment at Stephen F. Austin State University remains mostly unchanged from a year ago, with 11,917 students attending classes, according to the 12th-class-day census report.
p style=”text-align: justify;”> Spring enrollment increased by 21 students or .2 percent from 11,896 students in 2011, and the new total represents the second-highest spring enrollment in the university’s history.
p style=”text-align: justify;”> Undergraduate enrollment increased by 39 students from 10,288 in spring 2011 to 10,327 in spring 2012. Graduate enrollment decreased by 18 students from 1,608 to 1,590.
p style=”text-align: justify;”> Several of SFA’s colleges experienced year-to-year increases in spring enrollment, including the Nelson Rusche College of Business, up .1 percent from 1,721 to 1,723; the James I. Perkins College of Education, up 2.1 percent from 3,805 to 3,866; the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, up 1.6 percent from 631 to 641; and the College of Sciences and Mathematics, up 6 percent from 1,909 to 2,023.
