Wesley Gipson, who plays the title role in the SFA School of Music’s upcoming production of “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” rehearses a scene with SFA vocal majors who portray the Three Kings in Gian Carlo Menotti’s classic Christmas opera. The 45-minute opera, written in English, tells the touching story of a crippled shepherd boy and his mother who are visited by the Three Kings during their journey to find the Christ Child. It will be presented in Cole Concert Hall at 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, and at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Tickets for Friday’s performances are $6 for individuals and $5 each for groups of 20 or more. For Saturday’s performance, tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors, students and youth.
