The Nacogdoches County Constable Office Precinct 4 has arrested two subjects in connection with a felony theft case and has issued a warrant for another subject. Constable Bridges stated that his office has been working an ongoing investigation into a string of thefts that have occurred on Cr. 238 during the last month.
The Constable office was able to identify two of the subjects last week as an eye witness was able to copy down the license plate number to the vehicle that was seen leaving the crime scene and hauling away several thousand dollars worth of equipment from a building. While our office was attempting to track down the vehicle that we had the plate number on, the suspects were bold enough to come back and once again attempt to clean out the building that contained a large amount of farm machinery and antique equipment.
Deputies with the Constable Office precinct 4 and the Nacogdoches Police Department were able to stop the vehicle at Fm 1878 and Loop 224. Bridges advised that two suspects in the vehicle were arrested and were in possession of stolen equipment that came from the building on Cr. 238. The Constable Office has identified another male subject this week that has also been linked to the thefts.
Arrested at the scene were Curtis Anderson 29 years of age charged with Theft- State Jail Felony and Austin Harkey 21 years of age charged with two counts of theft – State Jail Felony, both from Nacogdoches, Texas. An arrest warrant has also been issued for Anthony Adams 29 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Nacogdoches County Constable Office or Crime Stoppers.
Constable Bridges stated that the value of the thefts that have occurred in this area is over 12, 000 dollars. The Constable Office has been able to recover half of the equipment that was taken in the three different thefts. Bridges stated that his office is still investigating where the rest of the equipment has been disposed of and if any other suspects are involved. “We have information on a couple of other subjects that we are looking at that may be linked to this as well.”
