Funeral service for Mrs. Flora Elizabeth Davis Fancher, 96, will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 11:00 am at laird Funeral Home with James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery. Mrs. Fancher was born on April 24, 1915, in Center, Texas to the late Charles Thomas and Dolly Danley Davis. She passed away on August 3, 2011, in Nacogdoches. Flora lived her entire life in the Grigsby Community in Shelby County until 1990 when she moved to Nacogdoches to be closer to her daughter. She is survived by her children, Joe Fancher and wife, Alma of Dallas, Allen Fancher of Lufkin and Barbara Clifton and husband, Hollis of Nacogdoches; granddaughters, Sonja Rouse and husband, Stewart of Boerne, Texas, Carrie Fry and husband, Darryl of Baytown, Sherrie Sikes of Midland, Michele Coats and husband, Michael of Nacogdoches and Kelly Fancher of Dallas; six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings and her husband, Samuel Thomas Fancher. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 am at Laird Funeral Home.
