Patsy June Fish, 81, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011.
She was born June 4, 1930, in Pike County, Ohio, and had resided in Nacogdoches since 1974.
Mrs. Fish enjoyed an early career as a flight attendant for American Airlines and remained an active member of the KIWI Club. She also enjoyed assisting her husband, Dr. Stewart Fish, with his medical practice. In 1985, she opened the Bavarian Doll House in Nacogdoches which she owned and operated for 20 years.
Her favorite past time was cooking and spending with her children and grandchildren. Patsy was very generous and kind and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Jayne Stanaland and husband Hoss of Nacogdoches, Dr. Jeffery S. Fish and wife Charlotte of Estes Park, Colorado, Carolyn Franks and husband Scott of Hudson, and Mary Gross and husband Gary of Flower Mound; a sister, Virginia O’Reilly of West Carrollton, Ohio; and grandchildren, Ashley Canty and husband Drew of Nacogdoches, Austin Stanaland of Nacogdoches, Emily Jones and husband Taylor of Jasper, Meredith Franks of Hudson, Seth Franks of College Station, Anna Franks of Hudson, Ryan Gross of Flower Mound, and Natalie Gross of Flower Mound.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Stewart A. Fish, on Jan. 1, 2006; along with her parents, three sisters, and a brother.
Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Sunset Memorial Park, 5127 North St., Nacogdoches, with Chaplain Dwayne Thornton officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St., Nacogdoches.
