The Nacogdoches Main Street Office in conjunction with the Texas Blueberry Festival held a downtown merchants window-decorating contest this week. We had 10 merchants participate in the “Blueberry” themed display. Participants were asked to meet certain criteria including visibility from the street, and of course utilizing Blueberry themes in their endeavors.
This year’s winners are: First Place: The Wildflower, Second Place, House of Traditions, and Third Place, Glass Castle. “The judges had a tough time deciding the winners, all of the windows were top notch,” said Main Street Manager Sarah O’Brien. “We were so excited to once again join forces with the Chamber and show downtown’s support for the Texas Blueberry Festival.” The first place ranking by the Wildflower gives them the top honors for two consecutive years!
Festival attendees are encouraged to stop by and visit all of the participating windows during the Texas Blueberry Festival. Participating merchants are:
