On Tuesday April 26,2011 the Nacogdoches County Constable Office conducted a search warrant at a residence on lakeside drive in Etoile, Texas. Constable Bridges stated that the constable Office has been conducting an ongoing investigation into a string of theft’s and burglaries that have been committed in the Etoile, Woden and Melrose area over the course of the last 4 to 6 months.
Bridges advised that his office had received information of stolen property at a residence on lakeside drive and established probable cause for a search warrant for the residence and property. At or about 6:00 pm the constable office executed the search warrant.

During the search of the residence, Deputies found two stolen guns, and a chain saw that had been stolen out of a residence near Woden, Texas. Also found at the residence was 3.8 ounces of marijuana.
Joseph Nowman of Etoile, Texas was arrested at the scene for possession of marijuana and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Constable Bridges stated that more charges will be filed at a later date once the investigation is completed. This is a very large theft ring that our office has been investigating with several suspects. Further investigation is needed before this investigation is completed. More details of the investigation will be released at a later date.
