Mary Sue Gage, age 82, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine, Texas.
Mrs. Gage was born March 9, 1929, in Alto, to Curby J. McBroom and Ida J. (Pate) McBroom. She was a homemaker and longtime resident of Nacogdoches County.
Survivors include her sons, William David King and wife Arva of Jewett, Texas, and Clyde Herman King and wife Barbara of Dobbins, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Conway of Longview, Texas, Savannah Witt of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Josephine Watkins of Douglass, Texas; four brothers, Olan McBroom of Refugio, Texas, Ruben McBroom of Mineral Wells, Texas, C.J. McBroom of Longview, Texas, and Tommy McBroom of Lufkin, Texas; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was prececed in death by her husbands, Clyde William King and Oby Gage; her parents; two sisters; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North St., Nacogdoches, Texas, with her grandson, Rev. Darren King, officiating. Interment will follow at Swift Cemetery, located on Hwy. 7 East, Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, from 5:pp to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
Pallbearers will be: Shawn M. Webb, Stephen E. Shelton, William Louden, Tim Franks, Mark Brast, and Mike Brast.
