Fellow Nacogdoches County Democrats,
A full e-newsletter will be coming out next week (including details of the disastrous Texas budget just passed by the House and Presidents Obama’s recent filing for reelection in 2012). For now, mark your calendars for the next two Thursdays:
1) Attend our next meeting on Thursday, April 14th! We will be meeting at the County Courthouse Annex at 5:30 to hear from all three Nacogdoches mayoral candidates (Pam Fitch, Roger Van Horn, and Walter McCrimmon). Pizza will be provided and a question-and-answer time will follow.
2) From Nacogdoches County STOP: Join us this Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. in Cushing for the next Stop Tar sands Oil Pipelines group meeting. We will discuss health and safety issues, permitting procedures, and the recently released hydrology report which outlines dangers to the Carrizo-Wilcox aquifer. The report also demonstrates that the pipeline will cross the Mt. Enterprise fault zone in an aquifer outcrop. The meeting will be held at the the Cushing Masonic Lodge, 713 7th St. in Cushing.
