NPD CHIEF NAMED TPCA REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Nacogdoches Police Chief Jim Sevey has been named as the director of Region 16 of the Texas Police Chiefs’ Association. As Regional Director, Chief Sevey will act as a liaison between the TPCA and member Chiefs of Police in the East Texas area.

The Texas Police Chiefs’ Association was founded in 1958 to promote, encourage and advance professional development of police chiefs and senior police management in Texas. The Association also administers the voluntary Best Practices Recognition Program. Police agencies that are recognized must meet or exceed 164 identified law enforcement best practices and must pass inspection by members of the Association.

The Nacogdoches Police Department became a TPCA Recognized Law Enforcement Agency in 2010.
