A memorial service will be held at a later date for Mr. Robert G. Molandes, 68, of Nacogdoches.
Mr. Molandes was born on August 4, 1942, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Robert Molandes and Lois Lazarine Molandes. He passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011, in Nacogdoches.
Mr. Molandes had been a truck driver. He loved his family deeply. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. All who knew Robert will miss his great smile and kindness.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rachel Smelley Molandes; his mother, Lois Lazarine Molandes; five children, Robert W. Molandes of Etoile, John D. Molandes of Etoile, Pamela Williams and husband, Clifford Williams, Jr. of Central Heights, Joe Molandes of Nacogdoches and Paul Molandes of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Ervin and James Williams, Julie Frazier and husband, D.J. of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, Travis Molandes of Carthage, Brandon Molandes of Carthage, Rebecca Molandes of Gary, Holly of Louisiana, Ryan Henderson of San Marcos and Kirstie Molandes; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Oliver and husband, Glenn of Katy and Sheri Rago and husband, Scott of Tomball; as well as a host of other extended family and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Molandes and a sister, Greta Jane Molandes.
There will be no visitation at this time.
