The Nacogdoches Police Department, along with local first responders and community partners, will celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
National Night Out is an annual community-building event that encourages residents to come together with their neighbors and local law enforcement to strengthen relationships and promote crime prevention.
Neighborhood Watch groups and residents throughout the City of Nacogdoches are encouraged to host neighborhood block events on the evening of October 6th. These events provide an opportunity for neighbors to meet one another, get to know local law enforcement officers, and work together to make their neighborhoods safer.
Residents interested in hosting a National Night Out event should register with the Nacogdoches Police Department by Friday, September 25, 2026. When registering, please provide the event’s start and end times, location, contact information, and any special requests or activities planned.
Nacogdoches Police Department officers and other first responders will visit registered neighborhood events throughout the evening.
National Night Out is a night when residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening getting to know their neighbors for crime prevention and community involvement.
