(April 1, 2025) – On March 28, 2025, in the 420th District Court of Nacogdoches, Alexander Rios, a 23-year-old resident of Nacogdoches, pleaded guilty to the shooting of a Nacogdoches Police Officer that occurred December 29, 2023. Rios also acknowledged his involvement in an unrelated Aggravated Robbery that took place on May 12, 2023, in the 2500 block of South Street. He has been sentenced to 50 years in prison. This marks the second sentencing related to the officer’s shooting. We extend our gratitude to the Nacogdoches District Attorney’s Office for their dedicated efforts in preparing for this case.
