December 1 Crime Log: Why steal the broken ones?

PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 11.29.10 to 0600 11.30.2010

     600 block S. Fredonia St ~ Burglary (Habitation) ~ Complainant advised that between 0000 and 0300 on 12-01-2010, while he and his roommate were at work, an unknown suspect entered their residence and removed property. An Xbox 360, three Xbox 360 controllers, and one video game were taken. Several subjects were at the residence earlier in the evening, and one reportedly knew the complainant’s work schedule. One of the alleged suspects also knew which one of the multiple Xbox game consoles in the residence worked.

     2100 block Pearl St ~ Assault (FV) ~ Officers responded to a disturbance between two roomates at Gazebo II apartments. It was discovered the two had been arguing and one physically assaulted the other by striking him in the face and chest. No injuries were reported or observed and the aggressor was arrested.

     4920 NE Stallings Dr ~ Incident Report ~ Subject with Nacogdoches Medical Center contacted NPD in reference to a welfare concern. He reported that a mother brought her 15 year old son to the ER in September of this year for a broken left arm. They returned to the ER this date for a repeat fracture to the same arm and bruising to his rib cage. The mother explained the injury was from a fall down their steps and became upset and defensive when questioned by the staff. They left without the boy receiving treatment. The mother’s residence was checked several times during the shift and they were not located. A CPS report was filed.
