PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 10.12.10 to 0600 10.13.2010

     THEFT; 4900 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. COMPLAINANT’S CELL PHONE WAS STOLEN. OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO RECOVER THE PHONE IN THE AREA OF THE THEFT.

     CRIMINAL MISCHIEF; 500 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. A REAR GATE WAS FORCED OPEN ON A GATED AREA OF A BUSINESS. NOTHING WAS DISTURBED INSIDE.

     BURGLARY OF A BUILDING; 100 BLOCK OF MITCHELL STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT AN UNLOCKED STORAGE BUILDING WAS ENTERED AND A WASHER AND DRYER WERE TAKEN.

     FORGERY; 2600 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED SEVERAL COUNTERFEIT CHECKS THAT HAD BEEN PASSED IN NACOGDOCHES AND MIDDLETON, TEXAS.

     GRAFFITI; 4400 BLOCK OF OLD LUFKIN ROAD. A METAL BUILDING HAD VULGAR LANGUAGE PAINED ON THE SIDE DURING THE NIGHT.

     ASSAULT-DWLI; 600 BLOCK OF COX STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT A KNOWN SUSPECT STRUCK HER JUVENILE DAUGHTER DURING A DISTURBANCE. WHEN THE SUSPECT DROVE AWAY, HE WAS STOPPED BY POLICE AND FOUND TO HAVE A SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED.

     THEFT; 900 BLOCK OF WELLS STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT A FOUR MONTH OLD PIT BULL DOG, BLUE WITH A WHITE STAR ON CHEST, WAS STOLEN FROM HIS RESIDENCE.

     TERRORISTIC THREAT; 700 BLOCK OF MOUND STREET. OFFICERS WERE DISPATCHED TO A DISTURBANCE. OFFICERS FOUND THAT A MAN WAS THREATENING FAMILY MEMBERS WITH A FIREPLACE POKER. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AT THE SCENE.
