E.E. “Earl” Longacre went to be with the Lord and his beloved Rachel on August 7, 2011.
He was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Tyler, Texas, to John Bertram Longacre and Nancy M. Beal. He was working for the WPA in Marshall, Texas, when WWII broke out. In Feb. 1942, he joined the Army, as a radio operator, and served in Italy and North Africa. On May 28, 1942, he married his sweetheart, Rachel DeLoney. After his discharge from the service, they were always together. He was honorably dischared on Sept. 9, 1945, from the 379th Army Air Force Base Unit. After discharge he went to work in Baytown, Texas, at what was then Humble Oil Refinery. He retired after 33 years at Exxon Baytown from Research and Development.
After retirement, he moved to Garrison, Texas, and traveled the world with his wife Rachel. He joined a small group of musicians called “The Jolly Timers” who played old style music for the nursing homes in the Nacogdoches area. They were active many years before having to disband. He loved music, feeding and watching the birds, and having coffee at the bank each morning.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rachel Deloney Longacre; sisters, Grace Murphy, Annie Mae George, Ruby Ford, and Bonnie Scurlock; brothers, Chester and Tom Longacre; half-brothers, Harry and George Longacre; and grandson, Michael Longacre.
He is survived by his son, William L. “Bill” Longacre and wife Judy; daughter, Linda J. Peloquin and husband Hugh; three grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors in Nacogdoches on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at First Baptist Church in Garrison, Texas, with Brother John McGuire officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Garrison, Texas.
We would like to thank the wonderful people at Texas Home Health, who took such good care of him and kept him laughing when he needed it. Also the Medical Center ICU for the loving care they provided for him and the respect they showed us as a family.

Hubert Thomas “Tommy” Treadwell III, age 58, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, in Houston, Texas.
He was born March 2, 1953, in Jacksonville, Texas, and had lived in Nacogdoches several years.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Treadwell.

Mrs. Joy French, 79, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011.
Mrs. French, a longtime Nacogdoches resident, was born Nov. 29, 1931.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Mackey and husband David of Nacogdoches; a son, Mark French and wife Amy of Colleyville; granddaughters, Rebecca Mackey, Lauren Mackey, and Madeline French; and a grandson, Will French.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin S. French, in 2003.
Funeral services are set for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North St., Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 5127 North St. in Nacogdoches.

In reference to P11-13172, A man reported that he was walking in the apartment complex when he was approached by two unknown black males. One of the suspects pressed a stun gun of some sort to the complainant’s chest. This action caused him pain, and he fought off the attackers. Nothing was taken. No further description on the suspects, as it was very dark. No arrests.

The funeral service for Leland Arthur McKneely Jackson was held in Carbondale, Illinois on Friday, August 5, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Leland was born July 6, 1955 in El Paso, Texas. He passed away Sunday, August 1, 2011 at his home in Carbondale, Illinois after a brief illness.
Leland Arthur McKneely Jackson
Leland attended Fredonia Elementary, Thomas J. Rusk Junior High and graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1973. He was the first Eagle Scout in Troop 604. Leland served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oregon. He received his Bachelor degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master degree from the University of Memphis. He worked for the State of Illinois as an Orientation and Mobility Instructor. He was serving on the High Council and as a Merit Badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America.
He married Sally Jo Bailey on May 22, 1979 in the St. George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She survives him along with their nine children: daughters; Merrilee Murphy of Covington, Georgia; Anna Schmid of Carbondale, Illinois, Melody Thomas of Provo, Utah, Christine and Kathryn Jackson, both of Carbondale, Illinois; sons; James Jackson, Jacob Jackson, and Nathaniel Jackson, all of Carbondale, Illinois, and Aaron Jackson, who is presently serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Idaho. Leland is survived by three grandchildren; Elorah, Thomas, and Levi Murphy of Covington, Georgia.
He is also survived by his father, Leonard Marshall McKneely, Sr., of Nacogdoches; sisters; Marsha Ault of Nacogdoches; Brenda McKneely of Corpus Christi; brothers: Leonard M. McKneely Jr. of Nacogdoches; Carl S. McKneely of College Station; and Danny McKneely of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma. Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Delva Stewart Ricks and sister, Lurie Rankin.
Clarence Mize “C. M.” Fore, 83, passed away surrounded by his family on August 5, 2011 in Nacogdoches, Texas. A funeral service will be at 10:30 am at the First Church of Nazarene in Nacogdoches, Rev. Wesley Anderson and Elmer Pitts will officiate the service. Internment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Clarence Mize C. M. Fore
Clarence was born on September 19, 1927 to parents James Eliphas Fore and Mary Demaris Rowell Fore in Nacogdoches. He was reared in the Douglass/Nacogdoches area and at the age of 17, married his true love Ruth Marie Garrett in June1945 and they spent 66 years together. Mr. Fore worked for NIBCO for 25 years and worked himself up the ranks from the foundry department to leading the engineering department here in Nacogdoches. He earned a nickname “Speedy” that was hard to shake his entire life. His skills allowed him to develop several new products and patents for NIBCO, including the “Teflon seat ring gate valve & Teflon seat ball valve” that are used around the world. His second career began with his love for camping and spending time with his family traveling.
Clarence had a natural love of life that allowed him to admire God’s scenic creations. He was devoted to his family, church and his beliefs and was not afraid to express his love for Christ. Clarence did his best to live by the Golden Rule and wanted “A Better Way of Life for More People.” He founded the Foretravel Motorhome Company on this belief, where he constantly developed a better way to travel for thousands of people though out the world. He loved designing, building and testing new designs, and then traveling to National Parks and taking in all the beauty a long the way just to make sure they would measure up. C. M. owned and operated Foretravel for 40 years with a strong desire to provide better jobs, and high quality motorhomes for customers.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Marie of Nacogdoches; son; Roy Lynn Fore of Honduras; daughter; Lynda Mulville, and husband Tim of Missouri City, Texas; son, Ray Fore and wife Sherry of Nacogdoches; grand children, Tobie Fore, Michael Fore, Wendy Pechman, Shelly Richardson, Adam Fore, Jennifer Torres, Jacquelyn Tatum, Greta Simon, Tyle Fore and eleven great-grand children; brothers, J.D. Fore and wife Evelyn of Nacogdoches, T.A. Fore and wife Eloise of Pelion, South Carolina, M.R. Fore and wife Nina of Douglass, Texas; and sister Mary Carter Steinkuehler of Nacogdoches. C. M. also leaves behind special friends and caregivers, Era Johnson, Becky Clifton, Mary Nobles, Felipe Gutirrez and wife Yadira.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Rowell Fore and James E. Fore.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 5pm – 7 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nacogdoches Christian Academy, 211 South East Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas, 75964.

Mr. Elmer Earl Longacre, age 93, of Garrison, Texas, passed away early Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Tyler, Texas, to John B. and Nancy (Beal) Longacre. Mr. Longacre retired from Exxon after working several years in reasearch and development.
He is survived by his son, William L. “Bill Longacre and wife Judy of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Linda J. Peloquin and husband Hugh of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Casey Longacre of Whitehouse, Texas, Amy Rivers and husband Shawn of Whitehouse, Texas, and Bryan Roy of Baytown, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Lucille Longacre in 2010; a grandson, Michael Longacre; and his parents, John B. and Nancy Longacre.

Mr. Clarence Mize “C.M.” Fore, age 83, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at Magnolia Court.
He was born Sept. 19, 1927. Mr. Fore retired from a successful career at Nibco and then founded Foretravel manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Fore of Nacogdoches; a daughter, Lynda Mulville; and two sons, Ray Fore and Roy Fore.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at First Church of Nazarene, located at 211 SE Stallings Dr. in Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 5127 North St. in Nacogdoches.
